I want every student to realise their real potential and that requires holes to be filled. No one can improve by always doing what they are good at, but can only improve by working on their weaknesses. That is why I let the student shape the content so that it can be tailored to where they need to improve to achieve the best possible outcome.

I want every student to realise their real potential and that requires holes to be filled. No one can improve by always doing what they are good at, but can only improve by working on their weaknesses. That is why I let the student shape the content so that it can be tailored to where they need to improve to achieve the best possible outcome.
My lessons are 30mins or 1hr and come in two formats:
1. A bring and ask format where we can go through a topic that is causing trouble for the student either by them asking questions or taking a general view of the whole topic.
2. An exam technique lesson where we can go through a past paper which a student is struggling with to focus on exam technique and what the exam markers are looking for.
Both of these formats allow a student to bring the questions that they are struggling with at different stages of their studying and I am flexible with regards to which we do when.
I want my lessons to be interactive, and I firmly believe in letting the student figure out things for themselves. I'll be asking questions which lead them towards the correct answer to foster the correct mindset and thought process for their long term gain in situations where they are required to solve problems in future. This also allows a distinct sense of achievement because they figured it out themselves. This improves their confidence and gives them practice in solving problems themselves.
