I teach using a shared screen and a web cam. This means that you have the freedom to choose to show your face and thus create a comfortable work environment. With that being said, even if you choose to have your camera off, I still expect effort to be put in so that I can effectively aid and guide you to the best grade possible for you. Additionally using a shared screen allows me to teach in a variety of colours and sections, being able to break down mathematical concepts into simpler and understandable chunks that can be built upon as your confidence grows. All questions given will have been previously completed by myself which allows me to gain a better understanding of your experience in our sessions. I aim for my lessons to be informative though conversational and colloquial so that you remain at ease and comfortable. My experience as a GCSE student was not too long ago which helps me to relate to what you’re going through and have an idea of the lessons you require to grasp the mathematical content. Whilst I was doing my GCSEs I found that the most effective revision method was the ability to teach and so a tuition method I find extremely beneficial is to determine, after I teach you some content, whether you are able to relay it back to me and demonstrate your understanding. This allows me to assess my teaching capabilities and methods and refine them to best suit each individual student.
