Joe Newton

I have seven years of experience as a professional guitarist, a Masters Degree in Composition for Film and Television and a First Class BA Hons Degree in Music from the University of Bristol. As a composer I have written music for short films, theatre productions, video games and music libraries.

Guitar: Whatever your skill level and whatever your interests I can offer personalised guitar lessons that will put you in control of what and how you learn. Lessons with me come with the added bonus of my deep knowledge of music theory and my passion for music-making. As well as developing your technical skills I will foster your creativity and encourage you to find and follow your musical passions.

Music Theory: I can teach you everything you need to know about music and prepare you for your grade exams at any level.

Music Composition: I can offer personalised lessons that put your creativity and interests first, all in the pursuit of helping you to find your voice as a composer. Whether you want to write a symphony, score a film or write a catchy pop song, I've got the skills to teach you how.

I can offer both in-person and online lessons. If in-person, I will travel to you. If online, the lesson will take place via video call.
