KS2/KS3 SEND Specialist - Classroom Teacher

Hi there!

My name is Joe, and I'd love to be your new tutor.

I currently teach during term time as a full time classroom teacher, but throughout holiday time and weekends or after school hours I am available to best support you. My lessons will be primarily remote, but if you are local to the Brighton and Hove area this could be alternatively arranged. Remote calls will be undertaken over a chosen platform and can be made regular if this suits you.

I am currently a class teacher at a Special school (SEN) with pupils of individual needs. I am responsible for learning across the curriculum in my class, besides some specialist subjects, and currently teach at a National Curriculum level between Y4 and Y6 (Age related Expectation of 8-11) in my day to day. I am an English specialist by nature, though I do teach subjects cross-curricular in this role. Teaching in my school is undertaken in both small classroom based lessons as well as 1:1 emotional and academic support, and I am keen to adapt style this appropriately to match your needs.

Much of covered content can be tailored to preference - if you are studying a particular text, struggling with a particular topic or working towards a particular goal I am happy to accommodate and adapt. My teacher training was undertaken in Primary, though my current role consists of teaching in a secondary school so I would consider myself flexible. Whatever it is you're looking to improve on, let's do it together!
