Sometimes, in school, some students can feel overlooked by their teachers. Perhaps they prefer to learn differently than how their teacher chooses to teach, or maybe the lessons are quite fast-paced, and it isn't easy to keep up.

I tailor my lessons to the needs of each individual student. I always appreciate any feedback and criticism from my students. As I get to know them more, I will understand how they prefer to learn and adapt my lessons to their preferences.

In our first lesson, I will provide a short assessment. This is only so I can be aware of my student's current level. This assessment won't count towards anything and is purely so that I can understand how to format and plan our following lessons.

My primary teaching method is to split a topic into roughly three parts. I introduce the topic and teach the first part, then include some exam-style questions; I then do the same with the other parts of the topic - whilst trying to draw links between earlier parts or other topics.

Depending on the content, I will include different styles of learning. For example, one topic may be more suited to teach using visual maps in the presentation. In contrast, another may be better taught using mnemonics or another way - however, none of this is set in stone.

My method, as mentioned earlier, is very flexible. If a student would prefer me to teach differently, I am more than happy to adapt my teaching style, as my job isn't to lead a large class of students with different learning preferences; my job is to work with each individual student, helping them learn at a pace and style that suits them.
