Joaquin Thomas

I have experience of teaching across the primary curriculum and have taught in early years too. I am very energetic and expressive and my lessons use lots of drama and active work including props and creative arts to engage my students.
My lesson usually last about 40 minutes however I like to tailor my lessons around the students needs. I like to plan my lessons with the students and their parents so they feel like they are as involved as possible in their education. I am half Colombian and speak fairly basic Spanish.
My teaching style is relaxed and flexible as I have lots of experience in working with students with disabilities and additional needs. I am offering online tutoring I can supply videos and 1 to 1 lessons. I will provide extra materials and will be contactable for any questions and extra help. I have a love of reading, drama and music but I can offer support that incorporates the entire curriculum. I offer support that encourages students to see the links in other subjects and use what they have learnt to help support their learning journey. I am a very visual learner myself so I like to use visual aids a lot and encourage my students to play active games with their parents, friends and families.
