I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am currently completing a Master's course in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health. With this, I have privately tutored some High School and Secondary School students in this subject and tailor the teaching format to suit the students needs.

Not everybody is good with a visual learner type format when it comes to studying this subject, therefore I prefer to use a format of learning depending on the most effective learning style for the student. This is usually discussed beforehand so that lessons with me are easily comprehensible from the get-go. In addition to this, I like to speak to new students about what it is they would like me to help them with, why they would like my help, whether they have had any previous experiences with a tutor, and what goals they may have. This gives us both an opportunity to have a good understanding of the other.

When tutoring someone, my preferred method is creating a PowerPoint that includes all of the information we will go over. It will also include a brief quiz that goes over the content of the previous session and a pdf document containing a summary of what we went over in the current session. I can also create mock quizzes containing both multiple choice and essay questions to test your overall knowledge and understanding of what we've discussed over the overall course of the tutoring sessions. This can also show me anything we may need to go over again so you can fully grasp the concepts.

I primarily offer tutoring sessions over an online medium (the type will depend on which is easiest for you). I do not offer sessions at your private residence, however if in-person tutoring is necessary I am happy to discuss the possibility of tutoring in my home.
