About me
Hi! I’m an aspiring mathematician currently working through a degree in maths at Lancaster Uni. I’m friendly, patient, encouraging and totally non-judgemental - no question is too silly to ask!
Price is up to negotiation and can certainly drop below £10 :)

I’ve experienced few feelings more fulfilling than helping someone come to a true and total understanding of something, and that is my goal for all I tutor. I teach from the ground up, looking at the questions and challenges that gave rise to the ideas we’re studying - for example, trigonometry actually originated from circles instead of triangles! By this method you’ll learn how mathematicians have solved all these problems, and learning the intuition - the logical reasoning - will help you to be able to apply the knowledge to different issues. After learning and really understanding the idea and practicing it, we’ll move to challenges of related but distinct forms and practice answering new questions with knowledge you already have.
I love geometry, and where there’s the option of a visual proof I’ll take it. They’re often the simplest methods, and nature often takes the simplest path (Occam’s Razor). It’s good to be rigorous, but it’s most important to just understand the idea.
In school I achieved well: my A-Level grades were A*AAA, including A* in Maths and A in Further Maths, and I’m now studying in a high-end university. I’ve some experience with tutoring: I was a mentor to a GCSE student when I was in Sixth Form, and I helped them through maths as they were struggling with it; I tutored another GCSE student who was having problems with their maths teacher, and they performed very well in their exams; and all through school I was a go-to for my peers when they were unsure.
