I am a recent Columbia University graduate with over 5 years of experience in tutoring middle, high school, and college students in both French and English.
Over these years, I helped students improve their global understanding of French or English and accompanied them through their A-levels and exams. For that, I discussed the best lesson strategy with students and parents and developed the most adapted method for the student.
Usually, I structure my classes as follows:
For the first class:
- Discussion of the learning strategy, weaknesses, and strengths as well as long and short-term objectives with the student and parents
For the following classes:
- First half hour: a review of the week's lessons and mistakes made during exams and tests.
- Next hour: work on homework as well as lessons for the coming week and provide in-depth explanations in case of doubts
- Last half hour: decompression time, the opportunity to converse in French or English in a more relaxed way, watching videos, etc…
Please note that I remain flexible in my teaching strategy.
I also enjoy helping my students with their college and university applications in the UK and abroad.
