I typically ask the student to send me their current homework or notes in advance so I can prepare myself to deliver short concise lessons and explanations before guiding the student as they work through their assignments. This way I can finely-tune my sessions to make the most of our time. Another advantage to this strategy is that I can let them attack the problem head on and steer them in the right direction when they stray off-course, enabling them to develop independence over the course of a session.

I have 7 years of private tutoring of high school-university physics and maths. I also have 2 years of experience working at the international tutoring center Kumon. I was a teaching assistant at a university for 4-5 years where I did interactive problem solving sets along with my class.

I have a masters and a bachelor's in physics from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
