My background -------

I grew up in Paris, bi-cultural and native in English and French. I got a master's degree from the University Paris IX and went on to work in the cultural sector exploring the French music scene.
I started specialising in linguistics and translation ten years ago making use of my natural skills to help brands engage in a more meaningful way with local markets. I am currently living in the UK where I work as a copywriter and translator.

Lessons

I like to ask students about their hobbies and pastimes so we can include these in lessons and increase their motivation and readiness to learn. It's also good to think about what medium they memorise better, whether it's reading, listening or writing so I can suggest ways of working outside of the lessons that will complement the learning in a fun and more enjoyable way.

I draw upon my cultural sensitivity to provide insights and explore relatable topics tailored for each student, whether it's to acquire linguistic basics, further general skills or understand the specifics of French culture. Furthermore, I look to provide relevant content for a more meaningful learning experience.
