I retired from my most recent educational post in August 2022. As a member of staff for a number of years, I was able to acquire a range of teaching experience mainly in Spanish with some French and ESOL, in addition to carrying out pastoral roles and programme management. The key skills that I work on with students are reading, speaking, listening and writing, as well as adding some grammar and culture/history where appropriate. My main aim in my previous role was to facilitate the students' academic and pastoral journey to the best of my ability. I enjoyed the balance of teaching and pastoral-related activities which my previous role combined.
I am now looking to continue to work in the education sector on an ad hoc basis within the local area where I live in St Albans. This would enable me to continue to use and develop my experience in this field. If you would like to see my LinkedIn profile with recommendations, please click here:
On a personal level, I am organised, motivated and reliable and enjoy carrying out a range of academic and administrative tasks. In addition, I have always enjoyed both working as part of a team and individually. I have the ability to prioritise the tasks that I need to do and to complete these in a timely manner.
In terms of technological skills, I am experienced in using the Microsoft Office suite as well as both Teams and Zoom. Over the last few years, I have also delivered and managed teaching materials via the Canvas software system.
I hope that my experience and skills match your requirements.
