My tutoring career started at an in person tutoring centre. I was in charge of small classes, teaching English and Math at KS2-GCSE level. I created lesson plans, created and marked homework, created reports to keep communication with parents etc.
I moved over to independent online tutoring soon after. This was very successful. I found that online tuition could be just as beneficial and engaging with multiple of my students showing great improvement. I have now also joined other agencies, such as ProsperoTeaching who specialise working with students who have been out of education.
I tailor my lessons to the student, ensuring they make the most out of these lessons. i use visual resources such as videos to help the student understand the concept, as well as focusing on topic questions before looking at past papers.
We also ensure to look at revision techniques which is often forgotten. This is crucial as it is ensured that content is retained. I provide all the resources i use to the student, alongside anything else I find may be useful, which the student can use if they need to.
