I like to use ice breaker games as a so everyone can get to feel comfortable with on another. It can be quite difficult learning a new language around people you don’t know that you’ll be working closely together and practicing a foreign language together. My style is all about practicing. Setting up reading assignments as well as spelling tests on a weekly basis so students get to see what they need to work on. English can be a complex language that some people might find challenging, so breaking down the language and teaching it brick by brick will build a strong foundation that will make the bricks at the top “feel” easier. The foundation bricks are:
-Listening
-Speaking
-Reading
This includes learning punctuation, grammar, connectives, vowels, adjectives and adverbs, structure of sentences (including clauses).
