I believe my teaching style is student lead. I will get to know the student I am tutoring and how they like to learn, incorporating a range of methods from demonstrating, active recall questions and picture etc. Doing this will allow me to adapt and change so I can make sure students receive the best chance of succeeding possible! As I have finished my GCSES I know what works best for studying and revision so will be able to provide websites and resources unlocking every students greatest abilities. Lessons will start with a quick recap section with questions relating to the previous topic we completed, then moving into content, broken down into small chunks with deepened explanations to make sure the student is able to recall the topic inside out! After everything has been learnt with mini quiz questions in between we will move onto exam questions for GCSE age and simplified exam questions for younger years. The exam question time will allow a greater understanding of the topic and unlock hints and tips to make sure all marks are accessed. It will provide me time to work through the questions slowly allowing students to ask questions and find out where they are making mistakes within the exam style practise. Knowing all the tips to access these marks will allow me to improve a students mindset to exams and how to correctly approach intimidating looking exam questions that may have been unreachable before the time spent within tutoring with me.
