I am currently training in as a social worker within a children’s hospital.
I’ve been tutoring since the age of 14 and it has been wonderful seeing people overcome challenges. Turning fails to passes. I love maths and love helping others find ways to help them learn better than just in a classroom environment. I’m happy to adapt my lessons to what helps my students learn more wether it’s visually or from being actively practicing questions and structure. I know how to adapt the specification to your need and improve your exam technique. I am happy to make myself available to what times suit you and would love to make maths a more enjoyable subject.
Wether you are 6 or 16, my experience covers all age ranges below GCSE level.
I work with a range of resources including PowerPoint, white boards, videos, quizzes and many more. Your feedback is important to me at the end of every lesson. I want myself to learn new ways of teaching and how you feel matters. My goal is to help you build confidence in what you’re doing and to go into exams and tests feeling like you can do well and achieve grades that you want/need for your future. Tutoring has been a really enjoyable way to utilise my time and I have found my confidence also growing as students find themselves more comfortable around me and are taking resources they learn with me and using them in their lessons and tests and succeeding in their studies.
