I am excited to begin working with new students! My teaching style is student driven in nature and I believe that as an educator my purpose is to guide my students through their educational journey. My lessons are streamlined to make learning and mastering the content as efficient as possible. In addition, I believe learning should be interactive and engaging for maximum effectiveness. I use multimodal teaching to ensure that students are learning in the way that is best for their success. Multimodal teaching presents the material in a variety of ways including visual, auditory, reading, writing, and kinaesthetic methods. Students will feel empowered to learn and grow while receiving the support they need. My ultimate goal is for my students to grow both mentally and emotionally while exceeding their expectations. My hope is that at the end of our lessons together my students will continue on their educational journey with more confidence and a better foundation for future learning. Below I have placed my statement of beliefs ans you will find a link to my LinkedIn page.

My Statement of Beliefs
I believe the purpose of education is to engage minds in intellectual pursuits, insightful debates, and social activities that result in the student becoming an intellectual and productive member of society. Ultimately, the purpose of education is to cultivate an educated citizenry capable of sustaining our democracy.
I believe that the role of a teacher is to facilitate learning by providing a positive and inspiring environment conducive for learning and teaching. As such, this environment should be inclusive of every learning style, meet the diverse needs of every student, and provide effective feedback so that students may thrive. Basically, I believe that every student deserves the gift of a teacher who not only helps them achieve their potential but surpass it.
I believe students are intellectually curious. Their minds need to be stimulated and they need social and hands on activities to spark their creativity and sharpen their critical thinking skills. I believe there is no greater duty than the education of future generations. As educators our goal should not merely be to aid the students in meeting their expectations but to exceed those expectations.
The ethical responsibilities of a teacher are of the upmost importance. As educators, we are entrusted with a great deal of sensitive material about our students and it is our responsibility to keep that information safe, secure, and private. I also believe that honesty is the most important aspect to ethics in any profession but especially when it comes to being an educator.
I am a fervent believer in combining both students centered, and teacher centered learning. In so doing you give the students a chance to learn in the style that is best for them. This combination allows educators to give lectures based on handouts, have discussions after the lecture and follow with a hands-on group project. In this scenario the 4-learning style have been accommodated.
I believe what teachers do matters and their choice of instructional tools matters. John Hattie, the father of visible learning, advises us that there are 5 things needed in order to effectively teach; visible learning, ongoing feedback both formal and informal, knowing your impact as a teacher, differential response to intervention, and passionate teaching.
I believe in meaningful work for every student and that there should be dignity in the work for every student no matter where they are in the developmental domains.
I believe that all students can learn if learning is scaffold to their individual needs.
I believe that my mission to promote positive change is to help end bullying by showing students that everyone is unique.
My strength finder results are commander, strategist, philomath, problem solver, and winner.
