I have been teaching English and French for 14 years and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and rewards that teaching has provided me with.
I have lived in the UK for 20 years and English was my strongest subject in school. I have a PGCE in Education and a Master in Education obtained with Merits at Manchester Metropolitan University. I also have the CELTA qualification.
At Burnage High school I had the opportunity to teach English to a variety of year groups at key stage3 and key stage 4. I had to collaborate, exchange on curriculum and teaching practices as at the time the government was introducing changes in the primary curriculum.
Furthermore, I have worked as a French and English tutor in different primary schools in Manchester and this was truly beneficial to develop my ability to collaborate and exchange on curriculum and teaching practices as I had to meet and work with different teachers.
Teaching French and English to primary and Secondary in a British international school in Qatar has allowed me to become adaptable, flexible and open to new educational approaches. I had to design a curriculum and create new resources for the French and English department.
Being French is, I believe, an additional asset for your school and I am familiar with curriculum expectations at primary level.
I am convinced that I can successfully deliver lessons according to the required schemes of work and be able to break down units of work for pupils. Teaching is my passion and my lessons have always been judged Good or Oustanding by my heads of department.
