Jeremy Shorter

As an innovative and energetic tutor, I possess a deep passion for programming and have actively engaged in teaching and mentoring others in this field. Notably, I created and managed the programming club at my school, where I successfully guided students of various age groups (ranging from 14 to 18 years old) and skill levels in programming. Each week, I tailored one-hour sessions to cater to their individual needs, ensuring an effective and engaging learning experience.

In addition to group tutoring, I have experience as a private tutor for a 12-year-old student, introducing them to the fundamentals of Python and gradually exposing them to more complex computer science concepts. Through our collaborative efforts, I fostered a solid foundation of knowledge, enabling the student to excel in their coding abilities.

As a first-year computer science student, I have consistently achieved top grades in coding-related disciplines, showcasing my commitment to academic excellence. Furthermore, I served as a teacher for the University's introduction to coding program, hosted by the Entrepreneur society, ExCode. In this role, I guided a group of 25 university students through interactive workshops, enabling them to grasp the essentials of Python and attain a strong understanding of the language within a span of six weeks.
