I think I am a caring teacher who will try to connect with students and engage with their thought processes. Lessons may look like a student asking a question and we spend the rest of the session exploring that and its implications! I think it's ultimately important to let the student teach themselves and as a teacher be able to provide the right guidance. I hope to be able to motivate and inspire students to be curious about what they are learning and hence make it more fun. I may only look like a maths teacher but I have decent amounts of knowledge in physics and chemistry which would help students connect the dots between different subjects. Also if any of them are also interested in music, that could make its way into lessons! I love setting challenges and exploring the ways of getting there and hope to have this rub off on students.
My previous experience in teaching is limited to music theory and piano, but studying at Oxford has given me the requisite mathematical technical knowledge to better understand a student. Overall, this makes me a talented, inspired teacher who can provide lessons rich in content from many areas without losing focus.
