Each of my lessons will be different as I my philosophy has always been to cater the lesson to the needs of the individual student. Before beginning a lesson with a new student, I always find out why they have chosen to learn English, what they need particular help with and what they want to achieve by the end of their lessons. The student is the most important part of the teacher-student relationship so their needs and learning styles will always be the focus of my lesson plans.

I taught English as a second language in Taiwan for 5 years and I have also taught English to some Ukrainian refugees in the UK. I love teaching English and am very passionate about my subject. Having lived abroad myself, I know how difficult it is to learn and use a second language so I feel I have a real understanding of my students.

I have a degree in English Literature from Liverpool Hope University and I have studied literature and the English language throughout my academic career. I also have two certificates in teaching English as a foreign language, a Level 3 Diploma as well as a Level 5 Diploma. I also have plans to train in the IELTS examination in the near future.

I am experienced in teaching learners of all ages and abilities so I am able and happy to teach any student no matter their age or ability level.
