I am an optimistic, productivity-focused tutor with a master's degree in microbiology. I have a history of working in healthcare as an emergency department medical scribe, a phlebotomist and a Histotechnologist. I understand the unique challenges that can come about from balance work, school and life.
I use Google docs, sheets, and other applications to help students grasp ideas and concepts in real time. I also enjoy helping students with assignments over these applications so that they can apply concepts to materials that are directly related to their goals. I make planners and worksheets for the benefit of students' organization and tracking of progress. My priority is helping you find your study style and career goals and helping you find strategies that will help you understand concepts deeply instead of relying on rote memorization or tedious busy work.
I tutor one-on-one and in group settings in the following subjects: general chemistry, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, biological sciences. I am open to giving advice in career-building and graduate school applications.
I am happy to use Skype or FaceTime, whichever is easier for you. I look forward to hearing from you and finding out how I can help you get closer to the goals you have for yourself!
