I have been teaching for over 20 years, both in the classroom and (for the past 4 years) online. I want to impact and enhance my students education and support them to be the best that they can be.
I enjoy an informal, fun online environment that promotes learning. Putting children at ease to achieve their full potential is vital and I endeavour to achieve that through varied activities.
My lessons are tailored to the individual learner and I have a ‘what works best for them’ approach.
Communicating areas of weakness and strengths is always a good starting point and this then will be used to plan my lessons.
My lesson structure would normally be an introduction to what we are learning, modelling and practising. Finally, challenges and checking/evaluating understanding. I will set homework (if requested) that compliments the learning that has taken place within the session and always communicate to parents with how they have got on with that lesson.
