I offer lessons via google meets as this platform gives me the advantage of using a variety of online resources. These includes (but are not limited to!), an interactive whiteboard, past paper questions and resources I've made myself. As I've been tutoring for over three years, I have an extensive amount of lessons already planned which allows me to be flexible within lessons! I'm more than happy for the student to "take charge" in the lessons, as I'm prepared to help with any topic (within the bounds of chemistry, physics and maths).
Each lesson is tailored to the needs of each individual student, as I prioritise what the student feels like they need the most support on. I aim to support my students to become independent, and take control over their own learning. In my opinion, being a student myself helps the students feel more confident in the lessons, as sometimes students don't feel comfortable going to teachers for help. I've received feedback from parents, that the dynamic of my lessons helped build their child's self-esteem and become more confident in that subject. In addition, as I'm currently still in the education system, I understand the pressure of exams, and how big the workload can be. Being able to relate to your students in that way is so important, as it allows you to structure the lesson in the most effective way for that student.
Overall, I want everyone to be able to reach their full potential, and I hope that I can help support students in reaching theirs.
