My lessons are structured to be clear, engaging, and completely tailored to each student’s individual needs. I usually begin by discussing your goals and any areas you’re finding challenging, so we can focus on what matters most to you. From there, I combine a mixture of explanation, guided exercises, and discussion to build your understanding and confidence. I encourage lots of questions and active participation — learning is most effective when it’s a conversation, not a lecture.

Depending on what you’re aiming for, lessons can be geared towards exam preparation, developing essay-writing techniques, deepening your understanding of the subject, or working on critical thinking and analysis skills. I also provide structured notes, personalised feedback on written work, and advice on how to study effectively between sessions.

I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, mainly in English Literature, Religious Studies, and Politics, helping them achieve higher grades and greater confidence in their abilities. My approach is friendly but focused — I believe a relaxed environment brings out the best work! I also provide resources, personalised feedback, and strategies for independent study between sessions. Every student is different, so I will always adapt the pace, style, and content of lessons to suit you — whether you prefer a fast-moving session packed with exam tips, or a slower, more reflective exploration of ideas.
