Jennifer Ikin

I am enthusiastic towards making every student that I teach succeed and gain the most out of their learning. Currently studying Computer Science at King's College London, I am a university student with an excellent academic record. In the 2023 A Levels I obtained 4 A*s in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with Highest Mark in the World for Edexcel International A Level Maths as well.

My previous leadership roles in school (sports captain, robotics society treasurer) have provided me with strong communication skills. I am heavily committed towards guiding individuals to understand topics in the Maths and Sciences on a fundamental level. My experiences in teaching juniors have shaped me into an attentive listener and observer than can adapt to every learner. Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua) as well. I am extremely eager to help students overcome learning struggles as a remote tutor.

I will teach closely, with patient guidance, based on your curriculum, and curate tailored exercises for your practice. Despite being online classes, I will make the lessons as interactive as possible, including:
- Utilising tools like online whiteboards to draw diagrams for clear and intuitive understanding.
- Highlighting key questions which appear frequently in exams, guiding you through them to make you sufficiently prepared.
- Selecting a range of questions, from fundamental to challenging, as exercise, homework, or mock examinations (as requested) to practice your speed, accuracy and agility.

Recently, exams have tended towards getting more difficult. As your tutor, I will do my best to ensure you are fully equipped to tackle all questions and lose the need to worry about increasing grade boundaries.
