Jennifer Akdemir

I am a language aware teacher and student (French, German, Spanish, Turkish and now Chinese). have travelled fairly widely, and have taught English to people of varying ages and from a wide variety of countries. I have taught both professional and general English and have helped prepare people for the GMAT, IELTS, GESE and Cambridge Examinations. I have a good knowledge of English grammar and always aim to work on all four skills.

I completed my Open University Degree in 2012, graduating with a 2.1. I have taught English to Speakers of Other Languages in the U.K. and abroad, often preparing my own materials, moving to working mainly online following the COVID lockdown. I also proofread texts while living in Slovakia and later in Spain, and have been a carer and worked in retail When I have not been in paid employment or self-employed I have dedicated myself to looking after my family. My interests are listening to music, reading, history and language learning.
