Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours. We start talking about the origin of the food, you are taught how to use equipment correctly and safely. During the preparation you are encouraged to use your senses to, taste, smell and feel the ingredients. At the end of the session you will have produced a meal, part of a meal or a sweet treat to feed a minimum of two people (this depends on what we are making). The classes are hands-on where children get to use different utensils in the kitchen – they cut, peel, mix and knead. In my lessons you don’t just follow a recipe, you get to learn about new ingredients, spices and cuisines giving you the confidence you need into adulthood.
