Each course is tailored to the needs of the individual. I have a wide range of experience with teaching English of all kinds.

I have been a GCSE examiner for the AQA, so I have marked thousands of exam papers and have access to a wide selection of past papers, mark schemes teaching resources.

I was Head of English at two London colleges and was inspected by Ofsted in that role; I was graded 'outstanding' on two occasions.

My qualification in TEFL allowed me to teach learners in: Prague, Bilbao, Athens and Weymouth.

My other qualifications include BA (Hons) in English & Publishing, MA Certificate in Media in Education, and various IT qualifications.

During my 26-year career in education I have gathered a range experience within the area of Special Needs and have attended training courses on:
Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism.

I intend to provide teaching content which will engage individual students and am aware of the various learning styles,, so I present my lessons accompanied by visual and auditory experiences.

A Scheme of Work is created for each student; this will focus on the specific needs of a leaner whilst incorporating a wide variety of tasks and assessment points. This enables me to provide detailed feedback on work submitted which will be linked to the Assessment Objectives of the particular exam boards such as: OCR, Edexcel, AQA, Cambridge, etc.

The passing of Common Entrance Exams can be an important goal, so I have become familiar with the requirements of the 11- Plus and similar tests.

Overall, I take pleasure from teaching and a satisfaction with providing something of value to the wider community.
