All language learners are different. So, this has to be personal!

I teach intermediate and advanced learners. My aim is to provide them with a "French survival kit" that makes sense in their context, usually a business or technical one.

It could also be that you are buying a property in France and you need to communicate with sellers or tradespeople. Maybe you are a keynote speaker at a conference and you want to inject some fizz in your presentation?

You let me know what you need to learn, who you are going to meet, what your industry is about. I will research the vocabulary that is the most likely to surface during conversations, and then... We practise, practise, and practise some more, either face to face or by videoconferencing.

Learning language is about making mistakes – and lots of them. You could think of it like learning to ski: if you don't fall once in a while, you are not trying hard enough. Making mistakes is a Good Thing. We will manage to make language learning an enjoyable journey.

This is very much an "à la carte" approach. I am very happy to help you polish your French to a high standard, but the reality is, many leaners are more interested in getting a simple, usable language toolkit that will evolve over time.

Business learners may also be interested in the cultural adaptation aspect. We will debunk myths (French workers routinely take two-hour lunch breaks) and add a few valuable insights to navigate the French corporate world.
