I have experience tutoring musical instruments in the past, as well as helping fellow classmates understand teaching material.
My main method of tutoring is by engaging in dynamic conversation with my tutee. I believe students understand the content taught once they can have a conversation about a given topic.
To get there, I like to break down the contents into easily digestible chunks and focus on areas of uncertainty by introducing games (after all, learning should be fun!), dynamic presentations and relevant articles. As a current Biomedical Sciences student, I believe I can offer my students a new and refreshing perspective on Biology.
In addition, I believe that practise questions are vitally important to not only prepare for exams, but to have a solid grasp on the content. By practising a few past paper questions throughout each session, my students will be aware of how mark schemes work and will be able to tackle any question that comes their way.
Given that I have completed my GCSEs and A levels quite recently, I know how the current mark schemes behave and the content that is currently being taught.
