Within the first session, we will conduct a mini assessment to see any challenges the student may face. It would also be helpful if these challenges are explicitly mentioned before hand. By marking the assessment, I will create a list of topics that students may need help on and provide materials and resources for them to complete and further advance their mathematical knowledge. I believe that the best method of teaching is not solely instructing a child what to do specifically, but to use different tools and techniques to lead a student to solve problems on their own and finding their own solutions.
