My lessons are adapted to your needs and can include a range of media types.

I can teach on-line or in person, and all lessons will be relaxed and friendly.

I am happy to travel to you, whether at your location or other place - for example, I have taught students outside when the weather is convenient - this can add additional interest to a lesson. There is a small charge for local. Longer distances can be agreed by negotiation.

Usually, I will build grammar instruction into conversational based lessons so that you pick up the basic structure along the way, we will then revisit the structural elements to broaden them out to full understanding.

I teach students from aged 8 years and up, and from basic to fluency - so whether you are just starting out with only a few words, or fluent with some rough edges, I can help you achieve the level of fluency that you want.

We will start by having an informal chat to ensure that I am the right teacher for you, during this chat I will learn something about your current language level, and gain an understanding of what you looking to achieve from the lessons. I will also ask about your previous learning experiences and your prefered learning styles. We can then, if you like, go into a short taster lesson (no charge).

If you decide to engage me as your teacher that I will use that information to construct lessons that are efficient and effective for you. We will have regular reviews to ensure that the lessons are continuing to meet your needs and that you are making the progress that you expected - if needed we will agree changes to the format and content of the lessons. And of course you can disengage at any time.
