I have recently finished my GCSEs therefore I am looking for part time jobs in the summer. I have chosen tutoring mainly because I am quite good at maths. I took my main maths GCSEs early and achieved full A* across all of them. I also took further and additional maths this year because in A level I am looking to take Further and regular mathematics.
In terms of tuition I currently have little experience, however I am looking to gain some this summer by tutoring potential students. Over the years of my GCSE mathematics I was quite good at understanding the subject and excelled in it - finishing most of the work quite early. I used to teach my fellow classmates some mathematics at home on calls when they needed help - therefore I have some experience of helping tutor maths.
In terms of lessons - in person lessons I will require the level of the student currently - whether it be GCSE or lower. Each lesson will be 1-2 hours long, once a week. I shall bring a notebook to each lesson, and work through each upcoming topic for the next year that the student will need to learn - again dependant on their current level. If it is GCSE the exam board will be required - and I will teach as many of the topics in the examboards as one can in one summer.
For online lessons - I will use Zoom, and the layout will be similar however I will use a whiteboard on Zoom to teach instead.
The lessons will only be during the summer due to the fact that it is a part time job.
