I'm a very adaptative person, and I can give lessons with different methods based on the student, but the method I tend to use more is the one that worked with the most part of my students.

My method of giving lessons is based in my experience, and is the way I'va had better results.
The first lessons the student tells me what they are doing and I make sure the main part of the theoretical part is understood, if not, I'll explain that part first for having the necessary knowledge for then doinf the practical exercises.
The rest of the lessons are about doing practical exercises and when something is not understood, explain that. And if the student has a doubt before the lesson is a good sign because solving those lead to the better leraning.
