The format that I think will be the most beneficial is playing games, this may seem like it’s unserious but I have realised when making something that you have to learn fun, it sticks with students a lot more and they learn a lot from it. The content I will be sharing is putting sentences together, learning the difference between words that sound similar, learning basic English grammar and learning new words to add to their vocabulary. I also think it would be amazing for the students to have a glossary which they can jot down words they find difficult to know the meaning of and revise it for 10 minutes everyday so it becomes part of their daily vocabulary. I think it’s very important for the child to have trust and an understanding with me as it will make the student feel a lot more comfortable and confident in asking me any questions. The students should feel like they are learning something new each time they have a lesson and the best way to do that is at the end of each lesson ask each student a meaning of a word and if sometimes they don’t know the answer it’s not a problem as that’s why I am here. I personally believe that my strategies will work the best as my students won’t get bored and will have an interest in their learning. I believe that each student has their strengths and my goal is to make sure English becomes one of their strengths too.
