I use games, IT and workbooks to support my students learning. I encourage development in all skills such as confidence, coherence, communication and enjoyment within their learning. I am passionate that children should be able to enjoy their learning. My usual sessions start with a 5 minute debrief of how their week at school has been, where they feel they have made progress and a discussion about what we are going to be covering in the session. We then proceed with the session which may involve an 'I do, We do, You do' approach or the child might choose to give it a go first. At the end of the session, I like to reserve 3-5 to talk with the carer/parent of the child, with the child present, to allow my student to hear the positive progress they are making and share how they feel they are progressing or what they enjoyed.
