I am very easy going and prefer to lead off of what the student would like to work on.

For example, if you are wanting to better your conversational skills, I will proceed to do various role-playing conversations, within different scenarios so that you can expand your vocabulary and learn how to speak confidently in Italian.

I would say I’m rather casual when it comes to teaching - there are no formalities. I only ask that my student is enthusiastic and ready to learn, and have fun learning Italian. Think of it more of having a pen-pal or a friend who is teaching you Italian.

If you would prefer to do written exercises, then I can organise this and make it bespoke to you. However, I believe that spoken exercise and practice can stick longer with you and help you flourish sooner. It’s also more fun to be able to talk and learn new words or phrases.

I really love to focus on perfecting my students accents and pronunciations of words. Therefore, I may assign you to listen to particular types of Italian music or recommend a really great Italian film to watch in your free time, and jot any words that you feel were hard to pronounce for you. In our lesson, we can work further on this, whilst also discussing the music and film and what you thought about them :)
