My lessons are online and vary depending on age/attainment level.
If you are looking for GCSE tuition my lessons tend to have a starter to focus on recall work - either regularly tested topics or topics we have previously identified as needing frequent work.
We'll then move on to cover 1 or 2 main topics each week. I'll focus this around where you need extra practice or if there is anything you haven't understood at school. I tend to begin by explaining concepts visually or diagrammatically to help your understanding before going through standard questions. Once you have gained confidence I will expand into varied question types and exam type questions. As a lead for mastery mathematics I have a broad range of resources to guide pupils through different topics.
If you are KS3 my lessons will have a slightly less 'formal' structure. There will still be a starter for recall and a focus for the lessons, of course, but less emphasis on exam questions and more focus on gaining confidence and enjoying the subject.

I am very aware of how some students can get lost in maths classroom, feel downhearted and just not enjoy maths. My main aim is to make sure students leave each lesson feeling confident and more secure in their knowledge. Having 1-1 or small group tuition can make the world of difference to students, especially those who have gone under the radar at school and need some more support.
