Engaging PowerPoints - step by step explaining each topic , helping students individually because not all students learn at the same pace - giving mock tests frequently to see where the students progress is.
My experience working as a teaching assistant I have also seen that students like engaging lessons it makes them want to learn more, such as making the topics fun so that the student is interested and is willing to learn to their full potential.
Also being in a classroom myself I have gathered that every classmate learns differently and has different techniques, and the teacher providing and giving examples on how questions can be answered differently if possible is very helpful for each and one student.
As well as getting my level 3 teaching qualification going through the course I have also understood that each student needs to understand the basics of what they are learning , therefore they have a base knowledge of the topic and then deeping into the further topics, otherwise some students will fall behind, and it can be difficult for students to catch up.
Also working as a teaching assistant I have noticed that communication is key whether it’s in person or though the media some students may be introverted and may be shy to ask a question or for help, or extroverted. Having different communication skills will make the students feel comfortable learning with the teacher and won’t be afraid of asking questions or may feel even judged for it
