Prior to beginning our sessions, I will need detailed information on the student's exam board and the specific modules they will be covering according to the syllabus. This will allow me to design initial assessment tasks to gauge the student's current understanding and identify areas requiring further focus. During our tutoring sessions, I will utilise carefully prepared PowerPoint presentations and tailored worksheets with relevant questions. I also emphasize the importance of revisiting previously covered material to reinforce the student's comprehension and retention. Our tutoring sessions will begin with an overview of the objectives for the hour, followed by focused content-learning where the student is encouraged to ask questions, I try to make the lessons as engaging as possible by incorporating games and interactive tasks. We will then start on practice questions to ensure the student understands the material and can independently apply their knowledge. At the ending of each session, I may assign homework to reinforce learning, and we will discuss areas of focus for our next meeting, based on the student's needs and preferences. I completed my GCSEs in 2021, followed by A-levels in Geography (B) and Environmental Science (C), as well as AS-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (A). Additionally, I undertook an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). I gained valuable international experience during a six-week volunteer placement in Ghana, where I taught a series of successful lessons at a local school, as well as volunteering at a local hospital. As a result of my teaching, all students passed their exams and advanced to the next grade. I am passionate about addressing the global education crisis, with over 260 million young people out of school and 75 million children experiencing disruptions due to conflict, climate crises, or emergencies. If current trends continue, more than half of all young people will lack basic employability skills by 2030. To contribute to this cause, I have recently applied to become a Youth Ambassador for 'Their World,' an organization dedicated to promoting worldwide access to education. With my diverse experiences, compassion for children, and enthusiasm for teaching, I am confident in my ability to be an effective tutor and help students achieve their full potential.
