I am an Actuarial Science Graduate from Heriot-Watt University, UK. I am a very enthusiastic and hardworking individual. I am also a consistent performer, confident to use my own initiative to achieve goals. After acing O & A Levels with flying colours, I started my bachelor's. I scored an A grade in Mathematics in both O levels and A levels.
Having attended schools in my city, I developed a passion for learning. My love for problem-solving and my curiosity culminated in my ultimate decision to study to join the actuarial profession. Mathematics ascertained that this is the subject that intrigued me the most as it contains numerical methods, practical applications, and analysis. As a mathematics student, I also have highly transferable skills, including the ability to work well in a team, strong analytical abilities, effectively manage my time, and become an expert in decision-making. As an actuarial student, I am able to use my mathematical skills to measure the probability and risk of future events and also predict their financial impact on business and clients.I have taught GSCE O and A Levels to students, primary Mathematics to student with Autism, High-School & National 5 Maths to other students. I have taught statistics to S6 students and university students.
I also have taught other private international students various topics including higher order derivatives, integration, correlation and linear regression, hypothesis testing, contingency tables, probability theorems and distributions, portfolio theory, finance and calculus-related topics.
Therefore, I am seeking a challenging opportunity, where my skills and expertise can be fully utilized and further enhanced.
I prepare all the lectures and exercises beforehand. I expect to have a lively session with students where there is no hesitation while asking questions. I try to be very clear in my concepts and way of teaching. I give my full attention during the session. I can repeat the topic until it is fully understood.
