Growing up as the eldest in my household, I naturally became the tutor for my three younger siblings and cousins, supporting them from 11+ through to GCSE level. I enjoy breaking down complex questions, asking what the student already understands, and then working together through each step until the concept makes sense. This approach helps students feel comfortable, confident, and supported, while allowing me to adapt to their individual pace and learning style.
Alongside my personal tutoring experience, I have worked as an assistant dance and sports coach with Strive Coaching, where I developed strong communication skills and the ability to engage younger learners in fun, structured ways. I also volunteered as a peer mentor with ReachOut, supporting secondary school students in building confidence, motivation, and effective study skills.
Academically, I attended Dartford Grammar School and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma before graduating from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I achieved a First in my dissertation, which explored racial bias in the treatment of sickle cell disease in the UK. My academic background, combined with professional training in safeguarding, SEND, and behaviour management, enables me to approach tutoring with empathy, structure, and a deep understanding of how young people learn best.
My lessons are interactive and personalised, designed to match each student’s needs, interests, and goals. I aim to make learning engaging and accessible, helping students not only improve their grades but also build lasting confidence and curiosity in their studies.
