Jasmine Byrne

My lessons involve interesting histories on theories and a temporal view of the evolution of psychology. I enjoy incorporating visual aids such as videos and slideshows, as well as little quizzes to learn key terms. My main aim is to provide a fun experience in learning theories that can be applied to everyday life; as if a student can apply a theory to something in their own personal life, it makes the knowledge must easier to retain. The psychology of learning shows that if you learn topics and denote personal meanings to them, the knowledge is far more likely to be processed into long term memory. My goals also include report writing techniques in accordance with APA 7, as I have a passion for technical writing skills. I can offer guidance on both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, as well as research methods, and research designs. All in all, I can offer a well rounded learning experience in any field of psychology desirable. My experience comes directly from my own academic studies where I have both an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology, and a masters in psychology.
