I have private tutoring experience for over 5 years. Currently, i have finished my undergraduate degree in BSc Psychology and am planning on becoming a university lecturer in the future.
I was a violin and religious studies tutor for a very long time and i ensure that each lesson is tailored to the student. I ensure to read Biology syllabus/specification from the exam board thoroughly so that any questions the students may have i will be able to answer in confidence.
Firstly, i ask the student what they know and understand about the content and what they are learning at school. Then i ask my students what they need help with and what they need to improve on. The lessons i create will be focusing on the topics they have limited understanding on. Interspersed with this i will be referring to their exam board specifications and give them exam paper practice so they are comfortable and used to the exam layout. The lessons will be focused on the students and on their needs as knowledge gained from year 7 will help them for the GCSE exams . Lastly, i will ask throughout the lessons the students understanding of the topic taught as it is important for them to understand one topic at a time so they can answer exam questions correctly and gain all marks e.g. 6 marks questions.

The online lessons will be on Microsoft Teams or Zoom as it is used often in higher education to teach.
