I have previous experience teaching mathematics at GCSE, A-level and national 5. I was able to really help the learners become more confident and competent with their maths skills. They began to enjoy maths in school and achieved really good marks in their exams. Personally I really enjoyed learning maths while I was at school. Currently I am getting a certificate in undergraduate medical education. I believe using fun ways and interactive techniques is the best way to learn. This way we are able to remember how to tackle and complete the question and also why we are doing so. By understanding why we answer maths questions in a certain way allows students to not just do well in exams but use their maths skills throughout their life. I think it is important for the learner to be as engaged as possible by challenging themselves. This way they develop critical thinking skills, a lifelong skill. I am always here to help with any questions students may have. I believe in question answer style tutoring, where we tackle a question together making a worked example which they can base more challenging questions from. From developing basic skills more challenging and difficult questions become easier. I believe lessons should be student centred - working on areas students find difficult to help them achieve their highest potential. I am keen in educating students and really enjoy teaching. I hope to help students achieve their best in maths, and help them enjoy the subject.
