As a young practising artist, I live my subject and am always delighted to inspire and guide others in their talent.
Art is all about practice - even if that's just five minutes a day! - and when the practice time clocks in, the joy of developing your talents naturally follows. During my lessons, I will help in practical and specific ways. If a student is interested in drawing, for example, I will show them particular methods that they can go away and practice, such as measuring proportions or sketching with charcoal.
Whatever aspect of art you are interested in, I will likely be able to help. My own art practice revolves around traditional drawing, sketchbooking and oil painting, particularly portrait painting with a modern colourful style. I have had work exhibited this year in Liverpool, and soon to be exhibited elsewhere in the North West. I have also worked with film, poetry, audio and animation. So, you will be speaking to an artist as well as a tutor.
With a First Class Fine Art degree from Lancaster University and an excellent dissertation grade, I am happy and qualified to help students with structuring and writing essays on art and art theory, understanding their subject, and aiming for the best results they are capable of.
If you are interested in a lesson do feel free to contact me. I am currently living in Manchester and open to both in-person and online lessons.
Best wishes in your artistic journey,
Jared
