I am Janvier Nkurunziza, your bilingual English and French teacher from the UK.

I have supported teaching and learning through different educational technologies such as virtual learning environments (Moodle, Canvas, Google classroom, etc), video and audio meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp, etc), Microsoft Office apps (Word Processing, PowerPoint, etc), Google apps (Gdocs), etc.

Additionally, I have a successful 11+ tutoring track record including public sector (schools and College students, etc) and private tutoring to 1 to 1 student (preparation for national exam, see my online course below.

My teaching experience includes
1)Teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds ( age , gender, elementary to advanced levels, school and College students, etc).
2)Teaching English, French, Communication, etc face to face and online ( Reading, writing, speaking and listening through role plays, songs, etc, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation and spelling, etc.
3)Carrying face to face and online assessments through Moodle, Zoom, Canvas, etc.
4)Monitoring students’ performance and maintaining their records online and on paper.
5) Assessing, marking, recording and reporting students’ achievements and progress, etc.
6) Teaching English through interactive activities such as games and quizzes (Kahoot for example)
7) In the summer 2022, I taught English as a Foreign Language (reading, writing, etc) to French students (11- 17 year olds) on a summer camp in London and in Wales.
