I am a recently retired, qualified Maths teacher with over 20 years of experience in the classroom, and enthusiastic about my subject. I have experience in teaching all levels of ability across the ages of 11-16yrs. In terms of teaching students to GCSE level, I have a lot of experience teaching to the Higher level GCSE, with a large number of my students achieving Grades 7-9, but I have also had much success with grade 4/5 borderline students achieving a grade 5.
I have a calm and patient approach to teaching, and the ability to take difficult concepts and explain them in a simpler way to improve understanding. Throughout my teaching career I have built up positive relationships with my students, and have always sought to improve their confidence in all aspects of Maths. I am committed to supporting students in gaining the confidence and success that they need in Mathematics to help them in their future learning.
