A holder of Bachelor of Education Science. Have 8 years teaching in Secondary School.My lessons are engaging and learner centred. I am enthusiastic and passionate about learners.
I apply methods that are tailored to fit individual learners besides teaching groups using appropriate dynamics. I apply methods like discussion, role playing, question and answer, demonstration and practicals. I incorporate technology like zoom, web meet to interact with learners of all walks.There are assessments to determine learners progress during the sessions which are tailored to fit the learner's needs. This includes quizzes, assignments and exams. Results are given on time after which I discuss with the learner on the way forward, this includes putting emphasis on areas of weakness.
A learner friendly environment is created to encourage them express themselves without fear. I am flexible so we can agree on how lessons will be attended and negotiate on payment. Incase of unforseen circumstances, I always communicate early and reschedule the lesson with learners on board. I motivate learners to keep performing and improve their grades through encouragement and words of affirmation.
I have excellent communication skills so I am able to get along with the learner's quite well and make them have indepth understanding of the content. I teach with a lot of empathy and give moral support to learners with challenges.
I like interacting with parents and guardians of young ones on learners issues so as to enhance understanding of the background to any challenge in order to handle it amicably.
